In the new book i’m reading, Female Chauvinist Pigs, the author is writing about topics such as Girls Gone Wild, Playboy, various porn stars and even well known and high paid television anchors, like Katie Couric. It really got me thinking about how society (both men and women)…

I’m not trying to degrade anyone for doing anything. I even stated i’m all for it, if it’s for you. If for any reason, showing off your body is a pleasure just for the person doing so, even if it is Playboy or GGW. I’m against the reasoning behind why most women do this. How many times have you encountered women around you, even friends, that have tried to be a bit more sexy or sexual because they think men will somehow respect them more or get them noticed? I do agree that there are some women who have no idea what harm is being caused, that is very true, but not all. Some actually do it, hoping to be admired or respected more. Which not too many people notice. I also don’t want to purposely target any specific group, I want to target everyone. The women who have no idea, the women who want respect by it and the individuals encouraging said behavior. I want to target the women involved (for whatever purpose) that engaging in this act should only be done for themselves and I want to target individuals for buying into it all, for going along with what is “supposed” to be, which I hoped to have been doing with previous posts. Thank you so much for commenting, I love to read it all!  

Well what I meant is that you sounded a little terse when talking about them. I think approaching them with kindness would be better. But then again, my wifey (stfufauxminists) has no patience for that, and I don’t blame her! I think I tend to be more cautious and sometimes overly so. But anyway, keep on blogging and if I find something that rubs me the wrong way you will be notified respectfully! <3
