Actually “feministbecky,” some women are solely valued for their physical appearance because they choose to be, not because “men are pigs” or whatever else you feminists try to come up with to overcompensate for years of gender inequality that, by the way, does not exist anymore. At least women have the opportunity to use their physical attributes in their favor if they wish without severely negative consequences. I would call this sexism against men because no man could dress to the degree that a woman does and still retain social acceptance. It is completely sexist to assume that men have more money than women to validate the cold fact that they have less scholarship opportunities. Many of these scholarships aim towards female students majoring in typically masculine fields. Women should not be celebrated for being interested in Math, Physics, or Engineering anymore than a man should. If we want to be seen as academic equals, then don’t make a big deal about it when a woman actually succeeds in a field that men have dominated. And the fear of being raped held solely by women has be the most obvious form of sexism against men. Don’t assume that only women get raped. Unfortunately I cannot attest to your comment about Women’s Studies because as a wise friend once told me, “Women’s Studies is a political view raised to the level of academic status” and I refuse to partake in such feminist, demeaning trash. So, thank you for your insight but it is clear that modern sexism today exists more at the expense of males than females. Feminism had its time and place (perhaps in the 1800s) but we have reached a point where women can enjoy the same opportunities as men, if not much more.

P.S. White privilege is a terrible form of racism that tries desperately to validate false entitlements for other races. I will not even touch on my fury with this topic because I could write a book on it. Thanks.

Your argument would be valid if we were talking about fields where women were already excelling and being well-represented, but that’s not the fucking case, dipshit. See, it’s NOT still equal, that’s why we have to use scholarships and other incentive to equalize the gender representation in those fields. Jesus, why the fuck is that hard to grasp.

Of course not only women get raped, you ignorant piece of shit, it’s not about who does and doesn’t get raped, it’s about who is at risk from rampant and systematic sexism, sexualization, and sexual violence. Guess what, asshole? That’s not cis men!

While men do get assaulted and raped, cis men are generally not at risk of being raped as a weapon of war or as a weapon against a community, cis men generally do not have rape used against them as a threat, cis men generally do not have to plan their movements around the possibility of being raped, cis men generally do not have to be wary of advancements from others because of the possibility of rape.

Women (and non-binaries who present as femme, and probably non-binaries who present otherwise) are told that it is the fault of the woman if she is raped. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time! She was wearing a skirt! She had sex once! Slut had it coming! Cis men don’t get that because, guess what? THERE ISN’T SYSTEMATIC SEXUAL VIOLENCE PERPETUATED AGAINST CIS MEN.

Oh and for the record? Misogyny is still evidenced in rape and assault against cis men. Surprise, you can’t escape it!

There’s a notion in society that men are these irrational beings when it comes to sex who absolutely must fuck anything with tits and a vag, and it’s up to the aforementioned tits and vaginas to stop them. Men can’t control themselves, says society, because why else would a woman wearing a short skirt be told it’s her fault for being raped? Because if men, says society, could control themselves, the girl wearing the short skirt or the girl with her cleavage hanging out wouldn’t be at risk! But they can’t, so they are. It’s your fault for being pretty and being promiscuous and being in his presence, you dumb slut, you totally had it coming!

So what does this myth mean for men? Well, for starters, it enforces an ideal of sexuality and masculinity that is damaging to all genders, but we’re talking about rape and assault here. It means that when a cis man is raped, people don’t fucking think it was even possible. Because all men want is sex! He couldn’t have gotten raped because he couldn’t have not wanted it! Don’t be absurd.

Do you see how that’s damaging? Do you see how that’s misogyny at work? It’s the perpetuation of damaging gender essentialism that insists that the man is always dominant and the woman always submissive, that men always want sex and that women never do unless they’re awful people (and non-binaries can go hang in the eyes of society, I guess) that makes it so that cis men who are raped are rarely believed.

The long and short of that? Misogyny is dangerous for women and it’s dangerous for men and it’s dangerous for non-binaries.

Misogyny is dangerous for everyone.

And it still exists, you fucking piece of shit, something you’d realize if you ever bothered yourself to take a fucking women’s studies class.
